D'FUNK

D’FunK has been DJing for over ten years. He started playing House and Garage in bars and clubs on the south coast of Spain. One summer he began to experiment with different styles, such as Progressive House and Trance. Soon after he organized nights called Juicy. In 2000, he took on the name D’FunK and at the same time moved further along the cost around Marbella area meeting up with the Raveface crew. Online Techno radio -Tv project that included producing and playing live on the Internet. At this point D'Funk was concentrating in Deep House and Funky Tech House along with an occasion tuch of the darker side of 2 Step, playing as resident for Raveface.com, ElectroSound and DanceKultur.

In 2001 he started playing at festivals and clubs in places such as Granada, Almeria and Torre Vieja, he also started his own internet radio show on Raveface together with club nights called ‘DeepSensation’. By now his track list went from Deep Electronic Lounge to Electro House, Techno and Breaks. In 2005 he decided to take it all to the next level by dedicating a year to studying Music Production at the Point Blank College in London. Whilst in London he kept on Dj-ing, playing in small trendy bars in and around North London, he was also invited to play at the first Rocket Festival in Andalucia, Spain.

In 2006 he moved to Manchester to study for a 3 year BSC Hons degree in Sound Engineering and Design at the School of Sound Recording, this taking up most of his time, he did manage to fit in an invite back to play at The Rocket Festival plus Deejaying at some Electro House parties in Manchester. 2007 was a good year he started producing Minimal, Tech-House and Breaks and played Ableton Live Sets n FX in and around the UK. That year was tha start of Elektek Recordings, a digital label set up by D’FunK, whilst also landing gigs in and around Marbella.
